This season hasn't been kind to the St. Raphael Academy Saints, who are still winless after their 13th game. They had to suffer through a rough 65-22 loss at the hands of Barrington. While losing is never fun, St. Raphael Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Rhode Island basketball rankings (they are ranked 45th, while Barrington is ranked seventh).
Barrington got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Isys Dunphy out in front who scored ten points along with seven rebounds and two steals. Janaya Prince - baquero was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with five assists and three steals.
St. Raphael Academy dropped their record down to 0-13 with that defeat, which was their 17th straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Barrington, the victory (which was their tenth in a row) raised their record to 12-5.
St. Raphael Academy will be playing in front of their home fans against Rogers at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Rogers has now lost ten straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 27. As for Barrington, they will head out on the road to square off against North Kingstown at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. North Kingstown will be looking to extend their current eight-game winning streak.
