Scottsdale Preparatory Academy fell 49-39 to Glendale Prep Academy on Thursday. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Scottsdale Preparatory Academy in their matchups with Glendale Prep Academy: they've now lost three in a row.
Despite the loss, Scottsdale Preparatory Academy saw an underclassman step up: Maeve Morgan scored ten points along with six steals. Morgan has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last 13 times she's played. Another player making a difference was Ashtyn Wolf, who scored nine points.
Scottsdale Preparatory Academy's defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-7. As for Glendale Prep Academy, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-3.
Scottsdale Preparatory Academy will head out on the road to take on Joseph City at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. Joseph City is coming into the match hot, having won their last five games. As for Glendale Prep Academy, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Highland Prep at 5:30 p.m. Highland Prep will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Arizona Rankings (they are ranked 228th, while Glendale Prep Academy is ranked 82nd).
