Section 3 Class D - West recap September 17, 2013
Tully fell to Sherburne-Earlville 34-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Weedsport led Section 3 Class D - West in scoring this week after putting up 40 points on Onondaga.
LaFayette/Fabius Pompey's dynamic duo of Greg Kreinheder and Jacob Harder proved to be unstoppable against Bishop Grimes, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Kreinheder threw for 108 yards and Harder had 51 yards receiving. Austin Vadala helped LaFayette/Fabius Pompey's passing attack out by catching 3 balls for 44 yards.
The Lancers' dynamic duo of Kreinheder and Harder proved tough for the Cobras to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week.
Phil Schroeder was the most successful running back in the league this week. He ran for 127 yards on 25 carries as Cato-Meridian bested Bishop Grimes. Corey Ramish also contributed to the rushing game with 83 yards on the ground.
Harder was the best receiver in the league this week as Karl Seemann's team topped the Cobras.
Kreinheder put up the best numbers in passing as the Lancers beat Bishop Grimes.
Schroeder was a passing and rushing force as the Blue Devils fell to Waterville/Madison Central.
Leading Section 3 Class D - West in both passing and receiving yards, the Black Knights' Nick Edinger and R.J. Herrick have proven to be a lethal combination. Edinger has thrown for 157 yards this season, while Herrick, a 5-foot-8 receiver, has 4 catches for 70 yards. Billy Steinmetz from LaFayette/Fabius Pompey leads the league in rushing with 273 yards.
As it stands, the Warriors are in first, while the Cobras are in sixth.
The Lancers led the league in points allowed with 6.
