Make it ten blowout wins for the Seminole Ridge Hawks this season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Thursday as they easily beat Santaluces 57-17 at home. The win was just what Seminole Ridge needed coming off of a 82-60 defeat in their prior game.
Seminole Ridge's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Breanna Custodio, who almost dropped a double-double on 16 points and nine assists. It was the first time this season that Custodio posted eight or more assists. Another player making a difference was Jayla Midget, who scored 18 points along with four steals.
Seminole Ridge has been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season. As for Santaluces, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-14.
Seminole Ridge will face off against the Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. That contest will pit two of the most dominant guards against one another: Elanie Sullard and Janiah Suprius. As for Santaluces, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against the Jaguars at 6:00 p.m. on February 2nd. Hopefully Dreyfoos School of the Arts focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 25 last Thursday.
