In what's become a running theme this season, the Piedmont Classical Bobcats gave their fans yet another huge win on Tuesday. They took their game at home with ease, bagging a 79-37 victory over Cornerstone Charter. The victory was just what Piedmont Classical needed coming off of a 72-52 defeat in their prior game.
Piedmont Classical found their leader in underclassman Cameron Anderson, who scored 19 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Anderson has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of La'Trel Smith, who scored eight points along with six assists and four steals.
Despite the loss, Cornerstone Charter still got an impressive performance from Tristan Cole, who scored 17 points along with five steals. That's the first time this season that Cole scored 15 or more points. Spencer Knight was another key contributor, scoring two points along with eight rebounds.
Piedmont Classical has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a massive bump to their 8-8 record this season. As for Cornerstone Charter, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-10.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Piedmont Classical will take on College Prep & Leadership Academy at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Cornerstone Charter, they will be playing at home against Bethany at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
