Trivium Prep was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight  defeat. They fell victim to a  tough 20-2 loss at the hands of the Odyssey Institute Minotaur. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Trivium Prep of the  15-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture  back in April of 2023.
 Trivium Prep saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Isaiah Lopez, who  scored a  run while going 1-for-3.
 On Odyssey Institute's side,  Katch McMains made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he  pitched five innings while giving up just one earned  (and one unearned) run off   five  hits (he also didn't allow any  walks). McMains was also big at the plate,  going 1-for-2 with two  RBI and a  double.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Patrick Murray, who  went 3-for-3 with a  home run, three  runs,  and four  RBI. Another player making a difference was  Antonio Torres, who  scored three  runs and  stole a base while going 2-for-2.
 Trivium Prep's loss dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Odyssey Institute, they are  on a roll lately: they've  won three of their last four contests,  which provided a nice bump to their 9-7-1 record  this season.
 Both  teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Trivium Prep will take on Phoenix Country Day at 3:45  p.m.  on Monday. As for Odyssey Institute, they will be playing at home against Parker at 3:45  p.m.  on Friday.
