The Edmonson County Wildcats will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against the Campbellsville Eagles at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Edmonson County has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 268 points over their last four matches.
Edmonson County pushed their score all the way to 56 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell 68-56 to Bethlehem.
Meanwhile, Campbellsville strolled past Marion County with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 56-42.
Campbellsville can attribute much of their success to Deondre Weathers, who scored 14 points along with six rebounds, and Landon Colvin, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 15 rebounds. That's the first time this season that Colvin pulled down eight or more rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Keondre Weathers, who scored nine points along with eight rebounds.
Edmonson County has not been sharp recently, as they've lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season. As for Campbellsville, their victory bumped their record up to 3-7.
