Middle Tennessee Christian is 8-1 against Christ Presbyterian Academy since March of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Cougars will host the Lions at 5:00 p.m. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

The result came thanks to Kodi Hewitt's shutout, as she gave up just three hits and racked up 16 Ks. Those 16 strikeouts set a new season-high mark for her.
On the hitting side, Riley Osborne was excellent, going 2-for-3 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Christ Presbyterian Academy). They put the hurt on Harpeth Hall with a sharp 19-0 victory on Monday. Winning may never get old, but the Lions sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.
Anna Groenewoud made a splash while hitting and pitching. She tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Groenewoud was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with three runs and two RBI. Those three runs gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Nealy McCluskey, who got on base in all five of her plate appearances with four RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March. Rebecca Hughes was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs and two RBI.
Christ Presbyterian Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .615. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Harpeth Hall only posted an OBP of .421.
Christ Presbyterian Academy's win bumped their record up to 13-4. As for Middle Tennessee Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 8-10.
