Kenowa Hills scored a stunning upset when it knocked off Mona Shores, 36-20. At the time, the Sailors was ranked 24th in the state, while the Knights was 59th.
The biggest upset of the week belonged to Mona Shores, who took down 24th ranked Mona Shores, 36-20.
Mona Shores' offense has been unstoppable this season and the Sailors feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Tyree Jackson has thrown for 1156 yards and nine touchdowns this season, while Asantay Brown has 24 catches for 597 yards. Darnell Longmire leads the league in rushing with 538 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Kenowa Hills takes on Muskegon. At the moment, Scott Van Essen's team is in third, while the Big Reds are in second.
The Knights moved up to 33 from 59 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. Kenowa Hills was able to make the jump by beating the Sailors 36-20.
