The Heartland Christian Academy Eagles's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their third straight loss. The match between Heartland Christian Academy and North County Christian wasn't particularly close, with Heartland Christian Academy falling 67-48. Heartland Christian Academy was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as North County Christian apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January of 2023.
Despite the loss, Heartland Christian Academy saw an underclassman step up: Titus Bock scored 26 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Bock has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Brayan Velazquez, who scored 11 points.
Heartland Christian Academy's loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 2-6. As for North County Christian, their win bumped their record up to 6-10.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Heartland Christian Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Heritage Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for North County Christian, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Metro at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
