The Golden Gate Titans won the last time they faced the Immokalee Indians, and things went their way on Thursday too. Golden Gate enjoyed a cozy 49-34 win over Immokalee. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Golden Gate.
Golden Gate got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Jacquez Petithomme out in front who scored ten points along with eight rebounds and three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Petithomme has scored all season. Orville Salomon was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with two steals.
Golden Gate is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-12 record this season. As for Immokalee, their loss dropped their record down to 9-8.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Golden Gate will face off against Seacrest Country Day at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Seacrest Country Day has now lost 14 straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 8. As for Immokalee, they will head out on the road to face off against Donahue Catholic at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. Averaging 68.1 so far this season, Donahue Catholic's high-powered offense has been in full-swing lately, so Immokalee better be ready for a challenge.
