This season hasn't been kind to the North Tonawanda Lumberjacks, who are still winless after their fourth game. They were just a bucket shy of victory on Wednesday and fell 47-46 to Nardin Academy. North Tonawanda was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Gators apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January of 2023.
Kara Krupski went supernova for Nardin Academy, scoring 25 points along with two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Krupski has scored all season. Emily Gorman was another key contributor, scoring five points along with nine rebounds and three steals.
North Tonawanda's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Nardin Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 6-9.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. North Tonawanda will take on the Blue Devils at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Kenmore West and the Lumberjacks are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads. As for Nardin Academy, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against the Hawks at 6:00 p.m. One thing working in Cardinal O'Hara's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last 12 matches.
