Riverbend has gone 8-2 against Stafford recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Bears will take on the Indians at 6:00 p.m. Riverbend will be looking to extend their current 14-game winning streak.
On Tuesday, Riverbend made easy work of Colonial Forge and carried off a 10-1 victory. The result was nothing new for the Bears, who have now won eight games by six runs or more so far this season.
Chloe King spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on four hits and racked up ten Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than eight strikeouts in five consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Isa Barber was incredible, firing off two home runs, five RBI, and three runs while going 4-for-4. Those two home runs gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Ryleigh Livesay, who went 2-for-4 with two doubles, two RBI, and one run.
Stafford couldn't beat North Stafford on Tuesday even though they stacked four runs on them in the fifth inning. The Indians fell just short of the Wolverines by a score of 6-5. The Indians have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Bayla Franklin made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Tori Bove, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one run.
Riverbend pushed their record up to 16-3 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.2 runs on average over those games. As for Stafford, they now have a losing record of 7-8.
Friday's match will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Riverbend hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .373. However, it's not like Stafford struggles in that department as they've averaged .318. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Everything went Riverbend's way against Stafford when the teams last played back in April, as Riverbend made off with a 15-3 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bears since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
