Clay extended their winning streak to three on Saturday, bumping their season record up to 11-3 in the process. They were the clear victors by a 12-3 margin over the Defiance Bulldogs. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won five matchups by seven runs or more so far this season.

As for Defiance, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-7 record this season. As for they, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-7.

For Defiance's part, they saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Addison Miller, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with one run. Another was Ayvah Cullen, who went 2-for-4 with one run and one RBI.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Clay will square off against Anthony Wayne at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Defiance, they will challenge Paulding at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Bulldogs are facing the Panthers at the right time seeing as the Panthers are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
