Ozark is 8-2 against Republic since February of 2015, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Ozark Tigers will head out on the road to challenge the Republic Tigers at 7:00 p.m. Ozark is no doubt hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses dating back to last season.
Ozark scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They strolled past Neosho with points to spare, taking the game 77-58. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Meanwhile, while it was all tied up 32-32 at halftime, Republic was not quite Webb City's equal in the second half on Friday. They fell 77-65 to the Cardinals. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Ozark's win bumped their record up to 2-6. As for Republic, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 12-9 record this season.
Ozark beat Republic 60-47 when the teams last played back in February of 2023. The rematch might be a little tougher for Ozark since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
