On Wednesday, the Chico Panthers kept a clean sheet against the Foothill Cougars. They were the clear victor by a 3-0 margin over the Cougars. Chico better thank their lucky stars for the performance of Nathan Carlson, as he scored every single goal for his team.
Chico is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-2-2 record this season. As for Foothill, they have not been sharp recently as the team has lost six of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-9-1 record this season.
Chico will be playing at home against Pleasant Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Chico is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. As for Foothill, they will head out on the road to take on Red Bluff at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Foothill's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for nine straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.
