When it comes to explaining why Thomas MacLaren School lost, one person who can't be blamed is Sam Montgomery. Despite the final result, he scored 24 points along with five rebounds. Lance Mathews was another key contributor, scoring six points along with two steals.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Manual to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jovan Collins-Falcon, who scored 22 points along with five rebounds and four steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Collins-Falcon has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Deshawn Fox, who scored 18 points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Thomas MacLaren School's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-6. As for Manual, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-2 record this season.
Thomas MacLaren School will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Peyton at 8:30 p.m. on Thursday.
