The Dysart Demons will head out on the road to square off against the Yuma Criminals at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Dysart has given up an average of 19.2 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Reyna Rodriguez was cooking despite her team's loss, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with three stolen bases, one triple, and one run. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Roxanna Jimenez, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.
While Yuma didn't have the best season last year (they finished 5-14), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They put the hurt on Coronado with a sharp 13-2 win on Wednesday. Considering the Criminals have won five games by more than nine runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.
The team relied heavily on Elia Palencia, who scored three runs and stole four bases while going 3-for-4. What's more, she posted two doubles, the most she's had since back in March of 2024. Saige Sievert also deserves some recognition as she scored her first run of the season.
Yuma was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .542. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .304 or higher in five consecutive matchups.
Yuma has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.4 runs over those games. As for Dysart, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-12.
Tuesday's game might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Dysart has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .445. However, it's not like Yuma struggles in that department as they've averaged .463. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Dysart took their win against Yuma in their previous meeting back in April of 2021 by a conclusive 23-1 score. Do the Demons have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Criminals turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
