4A Narrows recap October 29, 2013
Olympia scored a stunning upset when it knocked off Bellarmine Prep, 28-10. At the time, the Lions were ranked 17th in the state, while the Bears were 54th.

Gig Harbor's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Connor Scanlan threw for 129 and 1 touchdown and Santana Johnson had 99 yards receiving. On the ground Sterling Brown chipped in 154 yards. Kale Wong helped Gig Harbor's passing attack out by catching 1 ball for 24 yards.
Brett Villa was a key player and the best on defense this week as the Tides defeated Yelm. The 6-foot-2 senior recorded 1 fumble.
Brown was the most successful running back in 4A Narrows this week. In 13 carries, he ran for 154 yards as Gig Harbor bested the Tornadoes. Scanlan also contributed to the rushing game with 131 yards on the ground.
Gig Harbor's offense cannot be tamed this season and the Tides feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Scanlan has thrown for 1,086 yards and 12 touchdowns this season, while Johnson has 25 catches for 465 yards.
The marquee game in the league this week will be the clash between Aaron Chantler's team and Thomas Larsen's team. The Tides enters the contest ranked 23rd in the state, while the Lions ranks 24th.
Two of the top units in the league will face off this week when Gig Harbor takes on Bellarmine Prep. The Tides' offense has scored 304 points this season, good for No. 1 in the league, while the Lions have allowed only 114 on the year.
