The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for River Valley in their matchups with Woodcreek: they've now lost five in a row.
River Valley lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Gurtaran Sanghu, who scored eight points along with five assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Yuvraj Dosanjh, who dropped a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds.
Woodcreek was led to victory by Michael Kirby, Jr. and Aidan Triplet. Kirby, Jr. scored ten points along with four steals, while Triplet scored 20 points along with five rebounds. Tyler Hennessey was another key contributor, scoring six points along with three blocks.
River Valley has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost nine of their last 11 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-15 record this season. As for Woodcreek, they pushed their record up to 16-5 with that win, which was their fifth straight at home.
River Valley will take on Yuba City at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Yuba City is coming into the game on a six-game losing streak. As for Woodcreek, they will head out on the road to challenge Roseville at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Roseville will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
