Football Recap: Rocklin's Win on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Three + How To Watch

Rocklin extended their winning streak to three on Friday, bumping them up to 3-0. They took down the Lincoln Trojans 41-22. The Thunder pushed the score to 41-16 by the end of the third, a deficit the Trojans cut but never quite recovered from.

Rocklin's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Gered Linder, who rushed for 58 yards and two scores. Braelyn Frost got in on the action as well, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Rocklin's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB four times. Dom Coehlo was especially locked on to Lincoln's QB and sacked him twice. Frost got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Special teams also deserves some recognition, posting 11 points in total. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Aidan Calhoun, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown.

As for Lincoln, they now have a losing record of 1-2. Despite 180 more yards than Rocklin, the Trojans couldn't convert that extra yardage to scores.

Lincoln's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Julian Perez, who threw for 351 yards and a pair of touchdowns, and David Gray, who picked up 115 receiving yards and two TDs. Gray is crushing it when it comes to receiving yards: he's posted at least 115 every time he's taken the field this season.

Rocklin will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Folsom at 7:30 p.m. on the 19th. As for Lincoln, they will head out to face off against Pleasant Grove at 7:15 p.m. on Friday.
