Whitney Young moved up to 179 from 238 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Dolphins were able to move up by defeating the Silver Streaks 39-6.
Whitney Young's dynamic duo of Craan and Durudogan proved tough for Steinmetz to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Craan threw for 114 yards and 3 touchdowns and Durudogan had 60 yards receiving. Miles Baggett helped Whitney Young's passing attack out by catching 3 balls for 32 yards.
Abdullah Abdelqader made the biggest impact on defense this week as Taft fell to Schurz. The 5-foot-9 senior recorded 1 fumble.
Thanks to the talents of Javier Chavez and James Liss, the Eagles have been able to do all sorts of things on offense. Chavez leads the league in passing with 576 yards, while Liss has rushed for 602 yards this season. The Bulldogs' Deven Weathers leads the league in receiving yards with 386 on 14 catches.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Tim Franken's team takes on Amundsen. At the moment, the Dolphins are in first, while the Vikings are in eighth.
Adding to the longest winning streak in Chicago Public - Big Shoulders this week, Whitney Young beat Tim Mcnulty's team 39-6. The victory was the sixth in a row for the Dolphins.
