Montverde Academy (Montverde, Fla.) is among high school girls basketball’s national leaders in assists.
The five-star Ohio State commit is averaging 8.4 assists per game for the No. 3 team in the nation. In four of her last five games, Cambridge has recorded double-digit assists. Also an elite scorer, Cambridge averages 20.4 points per game.
Alejandra Vargas of
St. Anthony (San Antonio, Texas) is the nation’s leader in assists at 10.8 per contest. Vargas has dished out a season-high 15 assists on four different occasions, all victories. The senior is also tallying 3.7 steals per game.
Charleigh Spoonster of
Clopton (Clarksville, Mo.) is the No. 1 freshman on the list, checking in at No. 12 with 8.1 assists per night. Spoonster has five double-digit assist performances this season, including a career-high 15 in a win on Dec. 5.
