Excel is 2-8 against Thomasville since February of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit  on Thursday. McMillan has been consistent recently: he hasn't  tossed less than seven  strikeouts in three consecutive pitching appearances. McMillan was also big at the plate,  scoring a  run and  stealing a base while going 1-for-3.
 In other batting news,  Will Thomas was a standout: he scored three  runs and  stole two bases while  getting on base  in three of his four plate appearances.  Devin Odoms was another key contributor,  going 2-for-4 with a  home run and two  RBI.
 Meanwhile, Thomasville had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 11 runs), and they went ahead and made it four on Saturday. They walked away with  a   14-11  win over the Tigers. Both teams can probably skip cardio this week after making that many trips around the bases.
 Excel's victory bumped their record up to 7-4. As for Thomasville, their win was  their third straight on the road, which  pushed their record up to 9-4.
 Excel was able to grind out a solid  victory over Thomasville in their previous meeting  back in April of 2022, winning  10-7. Does  Excel have another victory up their sleeve, or will Thomasville turn the tables on them?  We'll have the answer soon enough.
