Basketball Recap: Atlanta Classical Academy Takes a Loss

After flying high against Cross Keys back in December of 2024, Atlanta Classical Academy came back down to earth. The Atlanta Classical Academy Cavaliers took a blow against the Bowdon Red Devils on Wednesday, falling 77-30. The Cavaliers lost against the Red Devils in their previous head to head back in January of 2023, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 34-31 score last time.

Atlanta Classical Academy's loss came despite strong showings from Sally Berry and Reece Perkins. Berry posted 11 points, while Perkins had 11 points. That was a full 36.7% of Atlanta Classical Academy's points, marking the third time in a row she's put up more than a third of the team's points.

With the loss, Atlanta Classical Academy broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 7-6. As for Bowdon, their victory bumped their record up to 4-7.

Atlanta Classical Academy will take on Lovett at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Bowdon, they will challenge Manchester at 6:00 p.m. on January 15th.
