After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Shaw, Carver was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They put the hurt on the Sumter County Panthers with a sharp 16-6 win. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Tigers as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.

Carver's win bumped their record up to 2-7. As for Sumter County, they dropped their record down to 4-13 with the loss, which was their ninth straight at home.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Carver will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Hardaway at 4:00 p.m. on April 11. As for Sumter County, they will head out to challenge Northside at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Sumter County is facing Northside at the right time seeing as Northside is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
