The Fairland Dragons put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past South Point, posting a 71-23 victory at home. The result was nothing new for Fairland, who have now won five contests by 28 points or more so far this season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Fairland to victory, but perhaps none more so than Bree Allen, who scored 26 points along with six rebounds. The game was Allen's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Bailey Russell, who scored 21 points along with five steals.
Fairland pushed their record up to 6-0 with that victory, which was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season. They've been dominating during the matchups in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 38.75 points. As for South Point, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-2.
Fairland will head out on the road to face off against Chesapeake at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Chesapeake will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings (they are ranked 713th, while Fairland is ranked 21st). South Point will be home for the holidays to greet Gallia Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
