Greenbrier Christian Academy's defense has only allowed 29.9 points per game this season, so Portsmouth Christian's offense will have their work cut out for them.

Greenbrier Christian Academy found their leader in sophomore Katelyn Balka, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 13 rebounds. The dominant performance also gave Balka a new career-high in steals (three). Bayleigh Kaliher was another key player, putting up nine points along with six assists and three steals.
Greenbrier Christian Academy was working as a unit and finished the game with ten assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Denbigh Baptist Christian only posted two assists.
Meanwhile, Portsmouth Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch last Friday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They received a blow as they fell 49-32 to Broadwater Academy. The Patriots were down 37-16 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.
Greenbrier Christian Academy will have to keep a close watch on Jenna Patrick and Lexi McLean, a pair of players who had a big impact on Portsmouth Christian's prior game. Patrick went 6 for 11 en route to 12 points in addition to six boards and four steals, while McLean posted four points along with five rebounds and three steals. Patrick has been hot, having posted two or more steals the last seven times she's played.
The win made it two in a row for Greenbrier Christian Academy and bumps their season record up to 6-4. As for Portsmouth Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 3-10.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Greenbrier Christian Academy has been crashing the boards this season, having averaged 33.7 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Portsmouth Christian struggles in that department as they've been averaging 36.8 boards. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
