Providence Cristo Rey was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Achaeans apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2023.
Herron's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Gavin Yarborough, who scored nine points. Another player making a difference was Ashu Price, who scored nine points.
Providence Cristo Rey's loss was their sixth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 1-14. As for Herron, their victory ended a 11-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-16.
