North Ridgeville is 0-10 against Olmsted Falls since February of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The North Ridgeville Rangers will head out on the road to square off against the Olmsted Falls Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. Both teams are coming into the contest red-hot, with North Ridgeville sitting on eight straight victories and Olmsted Falls on three.
North Ridgeville only won by three when they last took the court, which might have inspired the 23-point they dealt Steele on Saturday. North Ridgeville put the hurt on Steele with a sharp 62-39 win. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win North Ridgeville has posted against Steele since December 18, 2020.
It was another big night for Grace Kingery, who dropped a double-double on 36 points and ten rebounds. Kingery is absolutely dominating the point category: she's posted at least 15 every time she's taken the court this season. Madeline Eldridge was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with nine rebounds and two blocks.
Meanwhile, Olmsted Falls put the finishing touches on their tenth blowout victory of the season on Saturday. They blew past Midview, posting a 50-22 victory at home. Given Olmsted Falls' advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 18th, while Midview is ranked 218th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
North Ridgeville's win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-3. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.4 points per game. Olmsted Falls' record now sits at 12-3.
North Ridgeville ended up a good deal behind Olmsted Falls in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, losing 55-41. Can North Ridgeville avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
