The River Valley Dust Devils will be playing in front of their home fans against the Salome Frogs at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The squads are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: River Valley has struggled recently with three losses in a row, while Salome will arrive with five straight wins.
Last Tuesday, River Valley ended up a good deal behind Kingman and lost 50-34.
Kierra Clay put forth a good effort for the losing side as she dropped a double-double on 11 points and 15 rebounds. Her trending in the right direction, as she's improved his point production for three games straight. Another player making a difference was Avery Waldrip, who scored seven points along with three steals.
Meanwhile, Salome scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Wednesday. They claimed a resounding 72-4 win over Antelope at home. Salome has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven games by 28 points or more this season.
River Valley's loss dropped their record down to 3-17. As for Salome, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season.
River Valley was dealt a bruising 54-19 loss at the hands of Salome when the teams last played back in January of 2023. Thankfully for River Valley, Bryanda Navarro (who scored seven points along with eight steals) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
