Softball Recap: Olympia Picks Up Fifth Consecutive Win

Olympia waltzed into their game on Monday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They blew past the Heyworth Hornets 11-2. The result was nothing new for the Spartans, who have now won eight matchups by nine runs or more so far this season.

Olympia's win bumped their record up to 12-4. As for Heyworth, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-4 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Olympia will take on Williamsville at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Spartans 2.9, the Bullets 2.6) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for Heyworth, they will challenge Argenta-Oreana at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Hornets' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Bombers have averaged an impressive 7.2 runs per game this season.
