Derek Joyner Delivers Best Performance of Season
Hertford County was led to victory by Derek Joyner, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Joyner rushed for 159 yards and three touchdowns on only 11 carries, and also threw for 38 yards and a touchdown. His longest rush was for an impressive 56 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total.
With the win, Hertford County broke their five-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-5. They and Camden County will meet on Friday for a tough Bear Battle.

Northeastern's victory was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-0. Jones and Northeastern will square off against Manteo at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Naijhir White Dazzles in Holmes Defeat
Holmes had to settle for second on Friday, but Naijhir White sure wasn't going down easily. Currituck County had no answer to White as he rushed for 169 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 9.9 yards per carry. White was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 63 yards.
Holmes now has a losing record at 3-4. White and Holmes will host First Flight at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Rimiez Williams Turns in Season-Best Effort
Rimiez Williams produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Hertford County to the win on Friday. Williams picked up 113 receiving yards and a touchdown. He got the majority of those receiving yards when he pulled down a pass and took off for a gain of 57 yards.
On the year, Williams has caught 2 touchdowns while averaging 66.9 receiving yards per game.
