The Joseph City Wildcats will face off against the St. Johns Redskins at 2:00 p.m. on Monday. Joseph City is coming into the matchup on a five-game losing streak.
Joseph City made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Alchesay, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Wildcats fell just short of the Falcons by a score of 6-4 on Saturday.

Cort Miller put in work while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run.
Miller wasn't the only one making solid contact as five players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Kase Fish, who went 1-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask St. Johns). They were the clear victors by a 20-7 margin over Pinon on Friday. The Redskins not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since April 28, 2025 (when they won 20-4).
Like Joseph City, St. Johns also got a great game from a two-way player: Kaden Waite. He struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off one hit. Those seven strikeouts gave Waite a new career-high. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 5-for-5 with three stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI.
In other batting news, T Platt was incredible, getting on base in all five of his plate appearances with three stolen bases, four runs, and two RBI. Those four runs gave him a new career-high. Lucas Page was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base.
St. Johns kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 23 hits. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 5.2 hits per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 games they've averaged 10.
St. Johns' first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-10. As for Joseph City, their loss dropped their record down to 7-6-1.
St. Johns' pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Joseph City has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 10 hits per game. It's a different story for St. Johns, though, as they've been averaging 10 hits. Given Joseph City's sizable advantage in that area, the Redskins will need to find a way to close that gap.
Joseph City suffered a grim 16-0 defeat to St. Johns in their previous matchup back in April of 2025. Can the Wildcats avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
