Things haven't been easy for St. Francis Indian, and their contest last Friday only extended their streak of losses to eight. They were completely outmatched, falling 0-51 to Todd County. The state rankings had actually given St. Francis Indian a slight edge heading into the game, making this hurt that much more.
Meanwhile, after flying high against Cheyenne-Eagle Butte two weeks ago, Vermillion came back down to earth. Vermillion lost to Elk Point-Jefferson by a decisive 27-43 margin.
