The Forrest County Agricultural Aggies won the last time they faced the Purvis Tornadoes, and things went their way on Thursday too. Forrest County Agricultural walked away with a 54-45 victory over the Tornadoes.
When it comes to explaining why Purvis lost, one person who can't be blamed is Jacoby Robinson. Despite the final result, he scored 12 points along with two steals. Robinson has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last five times he's played. Jace Gipson was another key contributor, scoring four points along with five rebounds.
Forrest County Agricultural's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 11-14. As for Purvis, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 12-7 record this season.
Forrest County Agricultural does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Purvis will square off against the Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
