After three games on the road, Stuart W. Cramer is heading back home. They will take on the South Iredell Vikings at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Stuart W. Cramer focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 11 on Friday.
Stuart W. Cramer's 22-6 record from last season is now well into the rear view mirror after another tough outing. They fell 58-49 to Marvin Ridge. While losing is never fun, Stuart W. Cramer can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 255th, while Marvin Ridge is ranked 46th).
Despite the loss, Stuart W. Cramer saw an underclassman step up: Oshauna Holland scored 24 points along with 8 rebounds and 4 steals. Holland scored a full 49% of Stuart W. Cramer's points, the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Ellia Barajas, who scored 10 points along with 5 rebounds.
Meanwhile, South Iredell sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 54-51 victory over Bandys on Tuesday.
Stuart W. Cramer now has a losing record at 1-2. As for South Iredell, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.
