If Fort Wayne Blackhawk Christian was feeling good fresh off their 64-34 takedown of Adams Central on Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Fort Wayne Blackhawk Christian Braves were just a bucket shy of victory on Saturday and fell 48-47 to the Clinton Central Bulldogs. The Braves' defeat signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

Clinton Central's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Emily Long, who went 6 for 10 on her way to 12 points and eight rebounds. That's the most boards Long has posted since back in January of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Carly Davison, who posted 13 points in addition to six assists and five boards.

Fort Wayne Blackhawk Christian's loss dropped their record down to 9-7. As for Clinton Central, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 12-4.

Fort Wayne Blackhawk Christian will challenge Woodlan at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Woodlan is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 51.3 points per game this season.
