Indian River had lost six straight at home, but on Saturday they dropped their record down to 7-15 to make it seven. They came up short against the Salem Sundevils, falling 10-3. The Braves were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Sundevils apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2017.
Griffin Hendricks was huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing three innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-low in walks (zero). He was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one RBI.

Like Indian River, Salem also got a great game from a two-way player: Zachary Rigsby. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over 4.1 innings pitched. Rigsby also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Salem is 4-2 when he allows at most one earned run, but 0-13 otherwise. Indian River does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Salem, they will take on Green Run at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Sundevils are facing the Stallions at the right time seeing as the Stallions are stuck on a 19-game losing streak.
