It may have taken nine innings to finish the job, but Jefferson ultimately got the result they hoped for on Monday. They had just enough and edged out the Boylan Catholic Titans 6-5. The victory was nothing new for the J-Hawks as they're now sitting on five straight.

Jefferson pushed their record up to 11-12 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of 2.5 runs across that stretch. As for Boylan Catholic, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-15.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Jefferson will square off against Hononegah at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Indians will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something the J-Hawks surely won't give up without a fight. As for Boylan Catholic, they will face off against Guilford at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Vikings have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.44 runs per game on average), something the Titans will no doubt try to take advantage of.
