The Roosevelt Roughriders will head out on the road to challenge the Northridge Grizzlies at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Roosevelt focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 17 on Tuesday.
Roosevelt can finally bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Tuesday. They took their game at home with ease, bagging a 71-25 win over Fort Morgan. That 46 point margin sets a new team best for Roosevelt this season.
It was another big night for Seppe Salvatore, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 13 rebounds. He is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last ten games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Nolan Peterson, who scored 13 points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Meanwhile, Northridge came up short against Severance on Tuesday and fell 66-53. While losing is never fun, Northridge can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Colorado basketball rankings (they are ranked 245th, while Severance is ranked 59th).
Roosevelt's victory ended a seven-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-16. As for Northridge, they have not been sharp recently as the team's lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-13 record this season.
Roosevelt came up short against Northridge in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, falling 61-48. Can Roosevelt avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
