The James Monroe Mavericks will head out on the road to challenge the Wyoming East Warriors at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. James Monroe will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
James Monroe's pitching crew heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Saturday. They came out on top against WestSide by a score of 3-0.

WestSide's batters probably weren't too happy with Kadyn Hines, who pitched a no hitter and racked up 19 Ks (he gave up zero walks). Hines also allowed no hits, which is notable because James Monroe is 3-1 when he allows at most one hit, but 1-2 otherwise.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Brycen Parker, who scored a run and stole three bases while going 2-for-2. Carson Koen also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.
Meanwhile, Wyoming East started off well but failed to capitalize on an early lead against Scott. They took a 9-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Skyhawks on Thursday. The loss was the Warriors' first of the season.
Miken Smyth made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Blake Shrewsbury, who went 1-for-2 with one triple and one run.
Having lost for the first time this season, Wyoming East fell to 3-1. As for James Monroe, they now have a winning record of 4-3.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Tuesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. James Monroe has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 9.7 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Wyoming East struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 10.5 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
James Monroe took their win against Wyoming East in their previous matchup back in March of 2024 by a conclusive 18-1. Will James Monroe repeat their success, or does Wyoming East has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
