Flintridge Prep is on a six-game streak of home wins, while Mayfield is on a five-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Wolves will welcome the Cubs at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Flintridge Prep will be strutting in after a victory while Mayfield will be coming in after a defeat.
On Friday, Flintridge Prep made easy work of Chadwick and carried off a 3-0 win.
Flintridge Prep not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Chadwick between 14 and 17 points across their sets. The final score came out to 25-14, 25-15, 25-17.

Flintridge Prep can attribute much of their success to Kaitlin Ransford, who had 12 digs. That's the most digs Ransford has posted since back in August.
Flintridge Prep was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 18 aces. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their ace total in three consecutive matches.
Meanwhile, Mayfield didn't have quite enough to beat Polytechnic on Wednesday and fell 3-2.
In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Mayfield sadly dropped the once that decided the match. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 14-25, 25-16, 21-25, 15-11.
Flintridge Prep's victory bumped their record up to 20-2. As for Mayfield, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 13-6 record this season.
Flintridge Prep was able to grind out a solid win over Mayfield in their previous meeting back in September, winning 3-1. Will the Wolves repeat their success, or do the Cubs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
