Foothill recap November 19, 2013
Saugus moved up to 119 from 174 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Foothill. The Centurions were able to move up by beating Atascadero 34-27.
Valencia added to the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Redondo Union, 38-17. The win marks sixth in a row for the the Vikings.
Connor Wingenroth was a force in the backfield as Hart topped Paso Robles.
Brady White threw for 241 yards and 4 touchdowns. He went 21-29 with 2 interceptions.
Wingenroth was a passing and rushing force as the Indians defeated the Bearcats. Wingenroth's favorite target this week was Trent Irwin, who caught 4 passes for 84 yards.
Zach Cuha was the best receiver in the league this week as Canyon lost to West. Cuha tallied 6 receptions for 151 yards. Liam Cabrera helped Canyon's passing attack out by catching 6 balls for 137 yards.
6-foot-3 quarterback White of Hart is the league leader in passing yards this season with 3,678. He has also thrown 32 touchdowns. The leading receiver in the league this season is Cabrera. The Canyon star has 73 catches for 1,243 yards.
So far this year, he has acheived 46 catches for 907 yards.
Valencia took down the Sea Hawks 38-17 last week, the largest margin of any game.
