Catoctin is a perfect 10-0 against Brunswick since April of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Cougars will be playing in front of their home fans against the Railroaders at 4:30 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
It was a proper cat-fight when Catoctin took on Liberty on Tuesday. The Cougars put the hurt on the Lions with a sharp 16-9 victory. The win was nothing new for the Cougars as they're now sitting on 11 straight.

Catoctin let Bralyn West and Madison Ohler run wild. West fired off two home runs, four runs, and five RBI while going 5-for-5, while Ohler fired off two home runs and five RBI while going 2-for-3. Those five RBI gave Ohler a new career-high. Madison Ott was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.
They weren't the only ones working in the home run department: Catoctin lost a few balls and finished the game with six home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.
Brunswick not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since March 26th (when they won 18-3). They were the clear victors by a 13-2 margin over Fort Hill. The victory was familiar territory for the Railroaders, who have now won three games in a row.
Juliette Bel made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she tossed three innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run but no hits. Bel was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. That stolen base marked the first that she has snagged this season.
In other batting news, Taylor Benson was incredible, going 3-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Sienna Russo, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.
Catoctin pushed their record up to 12-1-1 with the win, which was their sixth straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.3 runs over those games. As for Brunswick, their win bumped their record up to 8-4.
Brunswick's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Catoctin has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .488. It's a different story for Brunswick, though, as they've only averaged .336. Will they be able to contain Catoctin's hitters?
Catoctin took their victory against Brunswick in their previous matchup on April 1st by a conclusive 18-0 score. Will the Cougars repeat their success, or do the Railroaders have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
