The Poca The Dots lost against the Ravenswood Red Devils back in November of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Poca's tough 48-25 defeat to Ravenswood might stick with them for a while.
Several The Dots players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Chloe Wheeler, who scored four points along with six rebounds and three steals. Another player making a difference was Hanna Moore, who scored eight points along with ten rebounds.
It was another big night for Hadleigh McGoskey, who scored 29 points for Ravenswood. The matchup was McGoskey's 12th in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kadi Price, who scored five points.
Poca's loss dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Ravenswood, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 7-5 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Poca will take on Winfield at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Winfield presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Poca in West Virginia (Winfield is ranked 20th, while Poca is ranked 77th). As for Ravenswood, their homestand continues as they prepare to take on Ritchie County at 7:30 p.m. on January 9th. Hopefully Ritchie County focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 on Friday.
