Baseball Recap: Whitefield Academy Has No Trouble Against Valley

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Butler, Whitefield Academy was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They blew past the Valley Vikings 27-6. The high-scoring effort was just what the Wildcats needed considering they were shut out in their previous match.

Kaedyn Byerly made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he pitched two innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. Byerly was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-5 with four RBI and one run.

In other batting news, Whitefield Academy got a massive performance out of Braden Schwartz, who scored five runs and stole Two bases. while going 4-for-5. Andrew Beickman was another key player, scoring five runs and stealing a base while going 4-for-5.

The victory got Whitefield Academy back to even at 1-1. As for Valley, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 1-1.

Coincidentally, Whitefield Academy and Valley will both be playing Seneca the next time they take the field. Whitefield Academy will host Seneca on Friday, while Valley will host them at 5:30 p.m. on March 25th.
