Last year's No. 1 team, St. Edward (Lakewood, Ohio), drops to No. 16 to start the season. Meanwhile, Carmel (Ind.) comes in at No. 2 while a pair of Missouri teams, Christian Brothers (St. Louis) and Webb City, begin the year at No. 3 and No. 4. Archbishop Moeller (Cincinnati) is the No. 5 team.
The regional rankings are based on the
MaxPreps Computer Rankings. The Midwest region includes teams from Ohio, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Kansas, Wisconsin, Nebraska and North and South Dakota.
