The Fairview Knights will square off against the Broomfield Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The squads are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Fairview has struggled recently with three defeats in a row, while Broomfield will arrive with four straight wins.
Last Tuesday, Fairview came up short against Frederick and fell 67-60.

Fairview's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Spencer Brown, who went 10-for-19 to rack up 29 points in addition to five rebounds and three steals, and Toray Davis, who went 8-for-14 en route to 22 points. The dominant performance gave Davis a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was Trevor Ochs, who posted three points.
Meanwhile, Broomfield won against Legacy on Friday with 76 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Tuesday. Broomfield came out on top against Mead by a score of 76-68.
Broomfield's win came from a few key players Fairview will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Joey Cook, who went 6-for-7 on his way to 14 points along with seven boards and three steals. He is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 47% in the last eight games he's played. Jack Wadlington was another key player, almost dropping a double-double with ten points and nine assists.
Broomfield was working as a unit and finished the game with 19 assists. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their assist total in three consecutive games.
Fairview's defeat dropped their record down to 16-6. As for Broomfield, their victory bumped their record up to 15-7.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Fairview has been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 21.8 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Broomfield struggles in that department as they've been averaging 31.3 boards. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
Fairview ended up a good deal behind Broomfield when the teams last played back in February of 2024, losing 78-63. Can Fairview avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
