King Philip Regional waltzed into their game on Sunday with two straight wins... but they left with three. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Medford Mustangs a 9-0 shutout. The Warriors might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven matchups by six runs or more this season.

King Philip Regional let Drew Herlin and Aiden Astorino run wild. Herlin went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI, while Astorino went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. That's the most RBI Astorino has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was Leo Dowling, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI.

King Philip Regional hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Medford struck out seven times.

King Philip Regional's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-4. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Medford, the loss snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 14-8 record.

King Philip Regional will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Mustangs: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled on Monday.
